Purchasing Used Equipment?

If you are thinking about buying a used system, be sure to take into account whether you have the experience necessary to inspect and evaluate the equipment.

• Who would you buy the system from? The company who used the system? A telephone vendor who got the system as a trade-in? The secondary market? Ebay?
  This information is important because it will help you to learn whether there are any known defects or problems. 
  
  
• Will the wiring you have installed already support the system? Not all systems use the same wiring.
  
  
• Do you know qualified technicians who can install and service the hardware and who will have access to spare parts?
  
• Have you factored in any additional expense associated with installation?
  
  
• If the system is in good operating condition, you should get a warranty.
